The best area is between Bandol and Antibes.
The more experienced sailor, can make a crossing to Corsica (about 20 h), Sardinia or the Balearic Islands
(approx. 36 hours).
St-Tropez,
Once a small fishing village, has become a fashionable resort. This is mainly due to the many media stars.
The town has a beautiful old center with many boutiques and numerous restaurants. If you want a nice view
over the sea then climb up the citadel. But they have a maritime museum. An interesting museum is the
Musée de l'Annonciade. Here you'll find paintings by artists who lived in St-Tropez.
Visit also Port Grimaud.
It is a town with many canals, just like Venice. It looks old but it was built from the 70s.
In Fréjus you can visit a Roman arena and a cathedral.
Bormes les Mimosas is typically French with its stone houses, huge amount of stairs and steep,
narrow streets.
Between St Tropez and Toulon, not far from the coast of Hyeres there are "Les Iles d`Or"
,, the Golden Isles.
The islands have some ports and some beautiful anchorages in crystal-clear bays.
In Porquerolles you visit Fort St Agatha which shows nautical archeology and has beautiful panorama `s.
The island of Port-Cros is a national park. Several trails traverse the island and especially the botanical
trail provides access to the beautiful landscapes, forests, forts and the calm serenity of a genuine nature.
In the beautiful bay of St Tropez are a number of nice coastal towns: Cogolin,
Sainte Maxime.
Well known are also the Bay of Cavalaire and the Bay of Le Lavandou.

The main islands of the Balearic Islands: Mallorca, Ibiza, Menorca and Formentera offer many unique
sites and tranquil coves, named "Calas", with sandy beaches and crystal clear water, for
landtourists difficult to reach. Each of the islands has its own charms.
The rugged coast of Menorca, the high mountain coast in the west of Mallorca or the countless
"Calas" on the east coast.
Furthermore, the idyllic island of Ibiza and the forgotten Formentera, with the Caribbean-like beaches.

The Spanish East Coast is a beautiful area to sail.
The wild and romantic Costa Brava is a feast for the eye:
rugged cliffs with small forests of pine and acacia trees and typical Mediterranean vegetation. Steep slopes,
deserted coves, which are more accessible by boat than by car.
Pretty fishing villages, sandy beaches, crystal
clear water, colorful marine life and culinary delights ashore.
The wild coast begins at the foot of the
Pyrenees near the French border and runs almost all the way to Barcelona.
Barcelona, capital of Catalonia is ideal as a starting point for a sailing holiday in Spain, but so are
Palamós example directly on the Costa Brava.
At sea wanders from bay to bay and visit fishing villages Tamariu and Estartit. On shore, the sailor faced with two choices: either watch the footsteps of Dali - with museums in Figueres and the famous Cadaques - or

Throughout the year there is a dry and mild climate with some rain in spring and autumn. In the summer temperatures to about 32°C. In May, June and September pleasant sailing weather.
Wind
In the western part of Mallorca and Ibiza in the summer dominates a southeast wind. Sometimes in August a strong mistral (NW) occur. In the east of Majorca and Menorca northwest winds prevail.
