You are at the "Northwest Spain" page.

La Coruna means for many sailors, who come from the North, the first port of call after crossing the Bay of Biscay.
From La Coruna to Bayona to the south past unfolds coast with a lot of beautiful inlets, authentic Spanish towns, (sub) tropical beaches and beautiful anchorages.
A coast to explore and look good not just to sail along.
Thus there is Camarinhas, situated on the homonymous Bay, where we were hospitably entertained at once on a celebration of the yacht club with free drinks and smoked sardines.
The rocky point of Cape Finistere. There is usually a fresh breeze around the cape.
After rounding Cape Finistere you sail in directly to the Ria Muras with on the north shore the fishing village of Muros and on the south bank the marina Portosin, where many (British) sailors have a permanent berth.
Next after Ria de Muros is ther Ria de Arousa, where the town VillaGarcia is worth a visit. Moreover, this Ria consists of many beautiful anchorages.
Facing Isla Ons is the Ria de Pontevedra. On the north coast there is a small marina in the village of Sangenjo. You can comfortably anchor behind the Isla Ons.
Ria de Vigo is the largest bay. Vigo is the main capital of this region. In front of the bay is the Islas Cies.
The island offers optimal protection against the swell of the ocean and you can anchor at a beautiful white sandy beach. A true paradise and I've anchored there for several times.
The city of Bayona is also a good place. Nice bars, boulevards and two beautiful marinas with all facilities.
When leaving Bayona you will return to the ocean and you will be soon in Portugal.
To this I like to refer to the web page: Portuguese coast!
We offer several yachts this year in this area. Look at the right side of this page.
Of course you could drive to La Coruna, but that's a long way. Much cheaper to fly. Direct flight from Amsterdam to La Coruna by Air Vueling for a very reasonable price.
If you sail with us to Lisbon or the Algarve, you can then easily fly back to the Netherlands with several companies. Of course, we help you to book your flight.
The weather is good from May until September. The temperature is between 20 and 30 degrees and there will not much rain. There is usually a nice breeze, so it is good sailing.
Suntan oil, you definitely need, but also a sailing suit, because the sea can sometimes be cold.
